    Dillon SDB question

The SDB is a relatively basic machine. Once you take the primer assembly out and look it over, it becomes apparent how it works. I am sure they had you measure and adjust the primer cup which is probably the most important part. After that, you are correct, a handful of plastic parts that wear...

    FINALLY

I get that there is "gouging" but to label it all as such is nonsense. If indeed, one thinks it is gouging - don't buy it. If I see something that I think is priced too high, I have two options, pass on it or buy it. I can't control their manufacturing, their shipping expenses, their raw...

    Ruger missed again!

No offense, but I really tire of hearing about how the "bean counters" and "greedy owners" and "making money" are the evil downsides of Ruger and other companies. Firearms, like every other business has to make a profit. Like it or not, that is how they keep the doors open. The market is...

    Aguila 22 lLR on sale.

Who can produce "full capacity" of anything, much less ammo in this world price inflated, raw materials inflated, regulation controlled environment? Nothing stays static.

    Aguila 22 lLR on sale.

That is under 6 cents so yes, in today's market that is a good price. I used to buy gas for 20 cents, bread for 19 and soup for 9 so what. I may have to wait a while for prices to come back down to those levels.

Remington Thunderbolt ammo jamming 10-22 magazines

Interesting. I purchased a couple buckets of the Remington Goldens years ago when 22 ammo was difficult to find. Didn't shoot much of it until I got into a 22 steel plate league at my indoor range. I put many new parts in my MK III Hunter for thr handgun and I now use a Ruger LVT with the Hogue...

    Ruger display

I stopped at the display in Tulsa and read what I could, I needed to get closer. It was awesome and well done. Nice examples and excellent presentation.

    Gun show finds,,

I am about to turn 70 and have enjoyed going to shows mostly with my wife over the years. She is a very good spotter, I tell/show her what I am looking for and she can scour one side while I get the other when we go to Tulsa. I have about given up on the regular ones I have in Nebraska and...

What are you paying for primers ??

In Kansas, the going price is $90 and up depending on what it is. We have a Scheels and Cabelas 70 miles away and they had lots of primers. Locally, at a friend's shop, he has CCI, Remington and Federals along with Fiochi and other foreign brands. There seems to be plenty of supply and some on...

What do you use for home rolled ammo ID

I do it a couple of different ways. I make a label on a spread sheet and just print off a bunch of them leaving a blank if I want to add a date. The other thing I have been doonf lately is using old business cards and writing the data on the backside and using wide tape to tape them to the...

OK, time for a stupid question.

What info you have already read above is accurate. Yes, most all dies can seat and crimp in one step. I like to seat and take the bell out with my seating/crimping die and then fine tune with the Lee crimp die. For 9mm I use the book provided numbers since that case chambers at the mouth of the...

Old model PC9 carbine trigger question

I love my PC9. It shoots way better than I do. I put a Romeo 5 on it and it doesn't matter what ammo I run through it, it is dead on accurate within the limits of 9mm. That said, I too have toyed with what to do with the trigger while not really finding any fault at all with the current one. I...

Hello From The Wilds of Kansas

Well, I live in Kansas, right where I 70 and I 35 come together. Not sure I would call it the "wilds" but like most of society, we are getting there.

Scope or Red Dot for Ruger PC 9 Carbine?

My apologies, I have the more recent Ruger PC Carbine in 9. At my league shoot, there is a class called Pistol Caliber Carbine or PCC. It can get confusing, count me in on contributing to that confusion.
