    1911 commander damaging brass

Took her out for a shakedown. She really damages brass. She smack a big flat on the case head opposite of the extractor. Anyone heard of this? Other than that, two inches for her first outing... no complaints here.

LCR's we would like to see

then shorten the cylinder to take the 45ACP and I am in  never understood why anyone would carry an extra half inch of gun when it didn't do anything... Always thought the 9mm in a revolver was a good idea but they never made a shorter frame. Think back to the old smith and H&R...

    Cylinder interchange question

I asked a couple years ago about getting a 45ACP fitted to a 45 Colt and Ruger told me, "if the gun came with the cylinder they would replace it. If it did not they would not fit one." I think it has to do with the caliber stamp on the frame and Rugers liability worries.

I wish I had my Ruger _______ back!!!

Lost three, M77 in 338, my first 18 year old purchase, Blackhawk in 30 carbine, traded my pet cow for it (no, I really did). Both were stolen from my folks house after I was married and living in an apartment (Thought their house would be safer than an apartment. D**** druggie relatives stopped...

    Conversion idea

I thought Ruger made the Vaquero in 38-40... I know I have seen a few around the range... might have been custom guns... I know they were smithed for Cowboy Action Shooting. I am pretty sure I have seen Single Actions in 10mm. Besides... there is always the barrel blank route. Just need lots...
