    RUGER FAVORITES

I confess, here's Model 77. I found it here in Salt Lake City in February 1973; it's a 1971 serial number. Once upon a time I was able to put them in the X-ring at 200 yards; not any more though. This one is a .308 and came with a Bushnell 4x scope; now it has a 3x9. Other shooters come and go...

    Cats SUCK... Dogs RULE...Case CLOSED

I've always been a dog person, but a cat; she who must be combed every day, does live with me. Here's a little reminder about who really does rule: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S7znI_Kpzbs

Summer cruisin', time to show your rides!

I really like the Cobra, but here's mine; summer only. 2000 BMW Z3 2.8 roadster:

Think I can bring it back to life?

Looks like the cylinder release is a mess but may be cured, find a replacement hammer. Needs some tlc with some steel wool. For sure looks like somebody's tackle box or truck gun. I have a 3" and a 1976 4". The 4" looks like it was somebody's under the seat truck gun but cleaned up real good...

    Old Church

I really like those old churches; reminds me of when I was a kid back in the 1940's and 1950's and our church. Here is a photo of the church in which my late bride and I were married; the chapel at Fort Douglas, Salt Lake City, Utah, August 18, 1974. It was built in about 1883; an Army post, Air...

    A Past Memory

Wow, Wayno, such a neat ol' reel. Pass it on. The first salt water reel I bought was a Penn 140 (Squidder), along with a 6-1/2' Garcia rod in 1970. That rig and I caught a lot of salmon out of San Francisco and Puget Sound. Over the years we added a number of Penn reels and Shakespeare rods...

    Help pick my next revolver

Looks like you have enough of the little guys. How about a 4" Six series Ruger revolver or maybe a 4-5/8" New Model Blackhawk .357.

    Bought my second Ruger 357

If you haven't done it already, make sure all chambers are empty. Cock the revolver and with your finger not on the trigger push the hammer forward. If the hammer falls it is not safe and needs to be replaced. Learned this one from experience after paying for the shooter; nope nobody hurt...

    My Colorado Fishing Hole

Hi Jim, that is a skinny brown. If I recall correctly they don't stock them here in Utah; they aren't native to the U.S. so the ones that are here are decendants of those that were stocked illegally about a hundred years ago. Nonetheless I really like catching them. Those rascals are wiley...

    Ruger Ivory Grip Value

Here's my New Model .45 Colt 1979 vintage. Ivory chipped and repaired on the other side like it had been dropped. My favorite shooter. Not for sale now but after I tip over my daughter will probably sell it. It could be that one of my nephews will get it.

Beater Deal of the day! NM 357 SOLD!

Already have one. That is a great revolver at a good price.

How much energy do we really need?

The shorter the barrel the louder and sharper the report. You do not require a high powered weapon for coup de grâce; a .38 or smaller will serve the purpose. If one feels a burning need to hunt dangerous game with a handgun, then the large heavy hitting revolver will serve.

Blackhawk in 357, barrel length prefered?

My New Model Blackhawk .357 Magnum has a 6-1/2" barrel; wouldn't have it any other way. It just feels right.
