I think i got it. I had to insert the bolt before i connected the rod that goes from the safety to the cocking piece. (sorry dont know all the names of the pieces) thanks

I just bought a m77 22-250 with the heavy barrel. With the tang safety it seems when you are inserting the bolt (action on fire) you cannot get it in all the way. It seems like half way through you need to switch to safe. The top of the safety is hitting the bottom of the bolt. Am i missing...
