45 you are good to go on 5.56.

I was told by Ruger back in 1984 when I bought mine that it would shoot either one safely.

Factory wood or synthetic for mine.

Steve what did it take tool wise to thin the front sight?

I really like mine and would not sell it unless I was offered an insane amount of money. Great little rifle.

They might be Tapco Gen 3. Look like Magpul and the ones I have function fine but I think they only come in 30rd.

Jeepnik when I read your post I laughed out loud. My son and daughter are both active Army and asked me why I didn't have an AR. I tell them M16 don't like me it tried to get me killed several times. Mini 14 and 30, JRA m14 and H&R M1 garand is whats in my safe. Love the action.

I have a 183 mini with a 045 bushing and buffers on both ends of the op rod.Very smooth and reliable with 6 ft ejection.

If it is in excellent condition , that price is very reasonable.

I have a 183 and have shot up to 68 gr. bullets with good results.
