    My GP100 and SRH

Here are MY two Ruger double-actions; a SRH in .454 Casull and a snubby SP-101 in .357… I recently mounted a Burris 2-7x optic on the SRH and will be using it in certain stands (out to ~75 yards) for deer this fall.

Ruger Single Seven 327 Federal Magnum

It could still be one chamber in the cylinder out of spec; I doubt you start on the same chamber every time …

    I resisted temptation

As to this talk of a lathe… I would like to gain the ability and knowledge as to how to use one. Someday I would like to gain the ability to bore cylinders for accuracy’s sake. Unfortunately I passed on metal shop in high school to take more math and science classes. Those classes paved the way...

    Vaquero .45 convertible?

I just checked on an old GB auction for one with Rugers ivory-like plastic grips. It ran for two weeks with no bids on a $1299 starting bid.

    Vaquero .45 convertible?

It’s a “Special Edition” in the black box marked as such. I haven’t seen many of them. It’s already been shot quite a bit judging by the leading in the bore so I wouldn’t hesitate to take it to the range, IF I buy it.

    Vaquero .45 convertible?

Hittman, Contender; the first thing I do when I see an interesting Ruger for sale these days is pull out my phone and look up the SN on their site LOL. You all have taught me well! As an aside, the kid behind the counter (who didn’t know the first thing about Ruger revolvers) told me it’s been...

    Vaquero .45 convertible?

I ran across this one in a LGS that I rarely visit yesterday. It’s a “Special Edition” convertible from 2000. It includes the box, spare cylinder and lock, but no spent casing or any paperwork so its “collectibility” value is low. The bore and the ends of the .45C cylinder are pretty heavily...

Ruger Single Seven 327 Federal Magnum

Thanks- and if I ever run across a 8163 Birdshead or an 8164 Bisley I won’t hesitate!

Ruger Single Seven 327 Federal Magnum

I have the model 8165 (blued plow handle 4-5/8” bbl). I’ve only put about a half box each of the factory Federal 85 and 100 grain ammo through it, with no issues whatsoever. Sooner or later I’ll get around to getting some dies and play around with reloading for it. It’s “snappy” with the factory...

    My first OM Single Six

Unfortunately Mr. Tyler isn’t accepting any new work … he keeps his staff busy turning out turnkey customs. I have a Bisley Vaquero I want dressed up and still haven’t gotten around finding someone to do the work.
