    Coach Gun- Asking Advice

I would recommend taking the SG to a local SASS match or two and offering it up for sale there. Probably some cowboy there would like to have a CC Special. HHH

    M77/22 ejection problems

Howdy Green I have tried operating the bolt as fast as possible, but if the cartridges don't hit the ejector, whether the one on the magazine or the one in the trigger housing, they won't eject. When I have everything lined up right, I can operate the bolt as slowly as I want, and the...

    M77/22 ejection problems

Howdy Major, I found a plastic ruler that was about 0.030", slipped in in like you said, and now I have ejection on the magazine that wouldn't. It appears that the cartridges are now sometimes catching on the ejector built in to the magazine (which I didn't know about) and ejecting like they...

    Marlin 1894C or CS...

BTW, if you don't like the crossbolt safety, or want to ensure that it doesn't get set accidentally, just place an O-ring in the groove on the safety. I think a 3/16" works, but check it out at your hardware store. HHH

    77/22 ejection problems

Howdy P32, and thanks for the suggestion. I have been trying to determine the difference between mags. I have had my calipers out, but cannot measure the difference between one that works and one that doesn't. I cannot find any parallel or right angle surfaces to provide a good reference point...

    77/22 ejection problems

118 views, but has no one else experienced this problem? I'm still looking for an answer, whether it be a part out of tolerance, a build up of tolerances in the wrong direction, or something else. A premium bolt action 22 manufactured for many years should not have problems extracting or...

    77/22 ejection problems

I have been taking another look at my 77/22 ejection problems this morning. The right hand extractor is sharper and has a stiffer spring as shown in the exploded parts drawing.Ruger calls the left hand "extractor" a "cartridge support", and it is not as sharp, having a beveled contour and uses...

    77/22 ejection problems

Yes, I have the same problem with a newly purchased new in the box 77/22. The first one I bought had both extraction and ejection problems, so the dealer got another one for me. The second one extracted just fine, but the ejector would not eject the rounds, unfired or not. I called Ruger...

1A 7mm-08 back from ruger, ready to hunt

Heliman, I have a question about your scope mount. I have the same (new) rifle and same scope, but I used the standard ring for the rear. Why did you use the offset mount, as it didn't move the scope back any? I do have to crawl the stock when the scope is set at 8X, but at 6X it settles in...
