    Small dilema.......keep? sell? shoot?

Although I don't shoot a lot of 22LR, it seems I have accumulated a BUNCH of them over the years. I am normally a heavy barrel bolt gun guy and as such have a 40X, CZ and Anschutz to fill that need. In sporter weight barrels, I have a Kimber, Anschutz, Savage and a Marlin plinker/RV rifle. Also...

Old Model Single Six 22 Magnum

After reading this thread this morning, I thought that's pretty cool, wouldn't mind having one of those. Headed to town to pick up my girl for a day out. Was a little early, so I stopped by the gun show at the fairgrounds this weekend. Always a small show, same guys, same overpriced stuff, but...

    Ammo, ammo & more ammo

The point is, you take thousands and thousands of people, that took the same approach I did, PLUS the guys who were buying every round they could find to resell at jacked up prices..........it seems easy for me to understand why the shelves were empty. I too saw the "line" of people at Wal Mart...

    Ammo, ammo & more ammo

You can likely believe whatever you want, but that doesn't make it true. But I can tell you this, I have been shooting for 40+ years and in that entire time, I never had more than a brick or two of 22 at any one time. Because I always knew I could stop and get one any time I needed...

    BX Triggers?

That's fine, that's your option. My only point here is defining the BX as "good". Because it is not a good trigger nor anywhere close. It's just "lighter" than the 8lb monstrosity that comes on these rifles. That's why I asked the OP if he wanted "light" or he wanted "good". There is a big...

Shooting the Ruger SR-762 out of an open window

My reloading room is upstairs in my attic and my shooting range is across my back yard. So I shoot out of an open window every day. Sometimes the barrel is out the window, sometimes not. The only time I make SURE the barrel is well outside, is if the rifle has a muzzle brake.

    BX Triggers?

Depends.......do you just want a "lighter" trigger or do you want a "good" trigger. Lighter alone doesn't mean good. In my opinion, BX triggers are just terrible factory triggers, with a lighter pull. GOOD triggers have no take up, no creep, no grit, break like glass and have no overtravel. The...

Old Model 3 screw Blackhawk project

Looks great and way better than it did with the "character" it had before. Only thing I would have done differently personally, would have been to chop the barrel a couple inches

10 year old Unique - still good?

With this being mentioned, I decided to look through my powder cans and see what I had with the lowest price marked. Have a can of H380(that I still use from) that has a $5.95 price marked. Found some others in the $6 and $7 range as well.

10 year old Unique - still good?

Realistically, gunpowder has no shelf life. If it smells like it should, it's fine. I have loaded rounds with 50 year old powder that was in my dads stuff.

Hercules Bullseye Powder In Old Square Can

Incorrect.............to LEGALLY ship it, you WILL have to pay the hazmat fee and the box is marked "dangerous goods" and to the best of my knowledge you have to have a license to ship dangerous goods. USPS won't do it period. Fed-Ex MIGHT, with proper paperwork but it has to be shipped express...

Hercules Bullseye Powder In Old Square Can

Powder is explosive........to LEGALLY ship it, you have to declare it, pack it right and pay a hazmat fee. Of course you CAN just throw it in a box and hope for the best. But if they happen to randomly X-ray that box, you will be making posts here from federal prison...........LOL!!!!
