    LC9 Issues with Light Strikes

Might have to try this, after Ruger gets a second chance to fix the problem. Mine had light strikes on purchase. Discovered the problem was metal slivers in the firing pin channel. When it kept recurring, I sent it to Ruger. Got it back 9/27 and went to the range 10/2. Ruger said they...

    LC9?

Nice to hear all the good reports. I bought an LC9 about a month ago. I've had failures to fire (light/no strikes) from day 1. Tried CCI and Winchester primers and even bought a box of WWB. Removed the firing pin and washed out metal flakes from the channel. That improved it some, but it...

    GP 100 accuracy

I didn't ask if you were shooting it DA or SA. If you are shooting double action, the GP100 has a different trigger feel that will throw you off for a while. SA, only minor differences. Barring barrel, cylinder fit problems, I'd just shoot the GP for a while until you acclimate. I did well...

    GP 100 accuracy

Welcome to the forum. Not sure what you mean by "outshoot it" I'd need a better description of what you are seeing. I have a GP100 4". It is a very consistent shooter and when I do the aiming part it's pretty darn accurate.

    New LC9

I just removed the firing pin. Lots of metal flakes on the pin. Did my best to blow out the channel with Rem Oil (no gun scrubber on hand). Couldn't find a string small enough to pull through the chamber, so I hope blowing both ways cleaned the channel out. Seems to function once I git it...

    New LC9

I had problems last week because it went from the LGS to the range, no stop for cleaning. At least I thought. This week, I cleaned it. I thought thoroughly. I had intermittent failures with my hand loads with CCI and Winchester primers. Fire 10 and light/no strike the next two. Went from...

    Recoil & Accuracy?

grip, sight, press Firm and proper grip on the gun, sights aligned with the elbow Proper sight picture press the trigger straight back Recoil doesn't enter into it until after you've fired. Simple mechanics, the devil is in the execution. Some handguns are harder to shoot accurately than...

Not if you hold it properly, don't flinch, etc.

    New LC9

Good to hear. I was shooting reloads, but the last 7 had no marks on the primer. My SR9 and M&P are "never fail" shooting those reloads.

    New LC9

Anyone had problems with the LC9 being ammo sensitive? I just bought one. I like the way it shot until I started getting light/no strikes. Admittedly, I did my usual buy and go straight to the range, so I was firing a new pistol before it was cleaned. I stopped shooting when I got 7...

Well, dang it!! Now see what you've all done!!!! : )

Yep, as long as you don't use it as a hammer substitute or a salt water corrosion test strip, I don't think you can wear it out. Enjoy. Great price.
