    WANTED: Ruger Old Army

I have wanted a Ruger Old Army since early 2000. I know they have been discontinued since 2008, but I am hoping that someone might have one here. I would like the stainless 5-1/2" barrel fixed sight version like below. I would be open to trades as well as a cash deal. I have some other...

MK-II Outside of Serial Number Range. Gov. Issue?

Hey guys, My brother called me today about a Ruger MK-II that he picked up a while back that does not fall in the serial number series listed on Ruger's site. Supposedly it might have been a government issue pistol with its own lot number and therefor not on their site? Here is a picture and...

Why we are told not to wear long sleeves when using a lathe!

Found this video and I knew before even watching it what was going to happen. Ouch. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N9grSq-TWMQ As a machinist this hurts to watch. Always wear short sleeve shirts. Greebe

    Pistol Length Reloading Press

Thanks guys for the responses. I wish that there was a press like I am looking for. It would be easier to buy one then make one but it would be a fun project to make. That press Martins dad made is like the one made by Ross, Harrell, and Sinclair. I am thinking of maybe making something like...

    Pistol Length Reloading Press

For some time I have been interested in a smaller press for pistol length cartridges. I am thinking of something that could be used for .454 Casull and shorter cartridges. My old 1975 Rockchucker has been a great press, but I have always felt that it is a waste of ram travel and arm movement...

Lee Carbide Speed Die - Anyone use them?

I took the one that I have out last night and gave it a try. It seems to work just fine, but the loading sequence is a little different. Still wish I could have picked one of these up in .45 Colt. BTW, I only used it so far to size, deprime, and bell the case mouth.

    RIP ammo

They look too "Evil" for things to go well for you in a court of law if you had to use them in self defense. I think you would get hammered by the law if you shot someone with those. Having said that I would want those in my pistol if I had to use it for self defense. However at $50 a box of 20...

    components are on the shelf

Yeah I would like to get some components and .22LR just to shoot. But seeing as they never show up around here I do not get to shoot anymore. Wish I would have stocked up more years ago. I do believe the panic and mass buying of ammo and components adds the the problem. However if you do not buy...

Reloading: Which Calibers Conserve Powder Best?

I have thought about building a 6.5 Grendel. It gives good ballistics with around 25-30gr powder and bullets from 85-130grs. Now that it is in the public domain I think prices should come down on barrels and hopefully we will see more brass offerings.

Yeah I have been looking for .22 LR since the summer with no luck. This is really starting to suck.
