    Ruger #3 rifles

Here is an example of what you can do with the factory stock. I put on a flat buttplate, carved cheek panels and added a Schnabel to the fore end. Only the factory wood was used. This #3 is a .223 tack driver, and can shoot 1/2" groups all day at 100 yds. Unfortunately it no longer exists...

Do your SR762 upper and lower receiver have some play?

Although my SR762 is well built - there is some play between the upper and lower receivers. I was wondering if an AR15 AccuWedge would work in the SR762?

SR762 - has anyone done a single point setup?

I modified a Magpul ASAP single point adapter - but took it off after trying it out with a Magpul multimission sling for two reasons; first of all with enough slack in the sling to get up to a shoulder, the muzzle almost drags on the ground, and secondly, it is too darned heavy. I have the ASAP...

    Ohoh! A $19 SR762 problem

Well - there we are - a Magpul ASAP plate - and it WON'T fit on a SR762 receiver! The SR762 lower receiver is fatter at the rear - (honey, does this ASAP make me look fat!) than an AR-15 lower, and the ASAP will not go high enough to line up. I could I suppose get busy with a Dremel tool and...

    SR762 handguards

Does anyone know why the handguards on the SR762 are called out on the parts list as "must be factory fitted." Seems kind of weird, as on almost any AR type rifle, the handguards would not require any kind of special treatment when removing or installing.

Sr762 and the Timney drop in AR 15 trigger

Are the internals in the lower the same as the AR 15? I want to put a Timney trigger in my SR762 but I don't want to pay the extra $56 for the Timney AR 10 trigger if I don't need to. The only difference I can see is the AR 15 trigger is a 3# break and the AR 10 a 4# break. OT, but it would be...

    Thanks Ruger Customer Service

I posted an article on how to install mounting studs without damaging your stock. When you did what you did with out searching this site - then don't cry when they tear-out. http://www.rugerforum.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=190200

    Why, oh, why?

Sadly both rifles were destroyed in the forest fires around Bastrop, Texas in August 2011, when the house they were in burned down.

    Why, oh, why?

I don't know any more why there are two holes in the forearm. I read an article in American rifleman that #1 and #3 had problems with barrel vibration and the solution was to drill and tap a hole out on the end of the forearm hanger and put a set screw in there to put a positive push on the...

    Why, oh, why?

Why did I ever sell these rifles? The #77 International was in .308 Win. On the #3 I completely re shaped the stock. I took the stupid curved carbine buttplate off put a nice rubber one on it, I carved cheek panels behind the action, and created a schnauble on the fore end. This rifle in .223...

How to install sling swivel studs on a 10/22 TD or synthetic

You will need two sets of Uncle Mikes sling swivel studs set. Toss the wood screw type in your parts box and use the two machine screw and nut studs. Uncle Mike's Sling Swivel Stud 115 B Set

How to install sling swivel studs on a 10/22 TD or synthetic

There have been posts on how to put sling swivels on a 10/22 TD stock (applicable to synthetic stock as well.) but none showed how to reinforce the studs. It is easy once you know how to access the inside of the butt stock. If you intend to install a bipod or even a single point sling, just...
