Hello. The LCR in .357 is designed in such a way as to minimize recoil, even with 158 Grain Magnum loads. IMHO, FELT recoil in the LCR is less than in the SP-101 even though it's much lighter. Caveat: The perception of recoil (felt recoil) is pretty subjective (apparently).

Hello. My LCP is my "always" pistol. I've carried it in a hip pocket but front pocket works better for me. YMMV. Frank
