I haven't shot it yet but to help me rack my LCP II I removed the smaller recoil spring. Much easier to rack . Now if it will function 'under fire' I have solved one problem
If you are truly interested in the 'history' of various Rugers then subscribe to RENE (Red Eagle News Exchange). Many time the information there is actually more accurate than the Ruger web site.
Agreed wholeheartedly. You can call them whatever you wish but to me they are plywood. Also, try to find a good replacement rifle stock in walnut today. Composite, laminated or whatever. I remember years ago buying a Fajen claro walnut stock for my 1891 Mauser rifle. Beautiful when finished.
You won't be sorry. I have a non-prefix serial number model with both cylinders and, with the mag cylinder, it shoots like a rifle; accurate and way out there.
This is a LCP II and a holster I made for pocket carry. Once in the pocket it is undetectable and easily removed with a 'flick' of one finger on the leather.
Got mine on Saturday last and now have the latest 'price list'. Contender you won;t have to copy this one for me; it is safely tucked away inside my RENE Pocket edition.
The manual shows 14 at the end of the Tech Manual number which would indicate first through forth levels of maintenance but it say it is operator (1) and unit maintenance (2). wonder why that is?
I have a Security 380 which has the same safety. I find that I engage it with my left hand rather than my right thumb. Seems to be a bit harder to engage then to disengage. To disengage I use my right thumb with no problem. As far as lube ... I lube everything that moves.
I don't know about the Security 9 but on the Security 380 you cannot engage the safety until the pistol is cocked. If there is no round chambered you cannot engage the safety unless you keep it cocked on an empty chamber. One less thing to do if you decide to carry an unloaded (no round...
