    Dry Firing a new LCR22

Any opinions on dry firing my new LCR22, in an attempt to smooth out the trigger action???

    New LCR-22. Hints/Ideas/etc?

Just got a new LCR-22. 100 rounds down range as a trial. Wonderful gun...so far. My previous Ruger experience has been with a Single-Six .22/WMR Covertible, GP100 .357 6", Blackhawk .357, Mk II Target and Police Service-Six .38. Never disappointed, and don't expect to be with this new one...

New Model .357 BH conversion to 9mm????????????

Thanks everyone. My interest in this project is finished. .38 from now on.

New Model .357 BH conversion to 9mm????????????

Woodperson: Yep, yer correct, specially if you're a law abidin sort. I'm looking for 9mm just because it's so much more inexpensive and easier to come by. BTW, I'm in Harriman, belong to ORSA and love Rugers of any sort. If you find that lost cylinder, let's talk. PM me if you want.

Use the stock trigger & hammer springs on your SP/GP?

Totally in agreement with Contender and Slim. My GP100 is just over a year old and has had just over 2000 rds thru it. The trigger has gotten progressively better, with no "work" done, and is now close to my definition of "perfect". If I wanted to "work" the trigger, I don't know what I'd do...

New Model .357 BH conversion to 9mm????????????

Well, I've thought and thought and thought about this. Seems like the best idea is to be patient and wait for a 9mm gun to come around. The guy at Ruger factory service said they could make me a cylinder for: $90---cylinder + $50---shop labor + $30---return shipping + shipping cost...

New Model .357 BH conversion to 9mm????????????

Thanks, y'all. Have looked into this and I think the best and least inexpensive route is to go with Ruger factory mods---at least as far as my serial # goes. Wish I was a talented machinist and could pull this switch myself. Ruger NH factory guy says it will cost $90 for the cylinder, $50...

New Model .357 BH conversion to 9mm????????????

As we gun nuts do, sometimes, I stumbled in to a local pawn shop and what did I see??? A gorgeous New Model Blackhawk .357, 4 1/2" bbl, SS and nice wood grips. $275 OTD, so I grabbed it, no doubt. Now, I'm wondering if this particular Blackhawk can be fitted with a 9mm cylinder, making it a...

    how much is it worth?

OOOhhh!!! Guess I didn't dicker hard enough. Oh well, it's a Ruger, so I ain't disappointed---and it shoots STRAIGHT!!! .22LR cylinders are available out there, so maybe your bro can make a "complete" piece out of his.

Newly acquired GP100 in 4" SS

Good advice, Jimbo: I rarely dry fire mine now, since they're well broken in. A Ruger factory rep told me I'd never wear anything out on my revolvers...and I believe him. I agree moderation, the middle path as The Buddha taught, is nearly always the wisest. Thanks for your thoughts.

    ruger gp100 hogue grips

Oh hell! Wait. Wrong again---duh. The exotics have a smaller screw. The hinge thingy Hogue supplies with their exotic grips fits this screw, so you'll have to swap out both. Don't know whay Hogue and Ruger couldn't get together to standardize the grip screws. Anyway, if you get a Hogue...

    ruger gp100 hogue grips

Yes. Good to go if you get it from Hogue. The hinged thingy on the frame butt is tricky at first. Just be careful and the grip will slide on smoothly. Hope you like yours as much as I do mine!
