I agree, the Mini is for quick shots and reliability. I do like my AR's though.

My 195 series Mini is reasonably accurate but will throw a flier every now and then. My barrel is also a 1/9 twist, which is ok but 1/7 is better.

If you're talking about the Federal 90 gr gold dot ammo that's also what I hunt with. Bought a bunch a few years ago, I only use it for hunting so should last awhile. They make a Federal Fusion with the same bullet, I have a few boxes. It shoots identical in my rifle.

So the USMC uses Colt M4's why? I know I here all the time about thousands of dead Marines from failed rifles.

6.8 is a great hunting round and also does a good job for self defense. It's my go-to for deer.

Mini mags always seem to work in all my .22s.

I have a 195 series Mini 14 and the accustrut helped some. Not sure about the newer ones through.

I want to mount a scope on my 195 series Ranch rifle and wondered which rings would fit. I'm not sure if any brand will fit the mounting slots or only River brand. Would like to find some 30mm for a nice 1x4 I have to use. Any help appreciated.
