    Wrangler Range Report

No, I’ve owned and shot other single actions. I’m sure the gun is accurate- I just don’t shoot it well.

    Wrangler Range Report

I’ve had my Wrangler for a coupla months now. I waited to get one until I found one for cheap. Mine looked nice right out of the box. No obvious blems or flaws. Everything was stiff at first, although the loading gate was not nearly as stiff as others have suggested. At the range it has...

    Which aperture sight for 10/22?

I have an otherwise stock 10/22 that I use to shoot at clays and other smallish targets at 100 yards at the range. I’d like to put better sights on it. What kind of peep sights would be good?

    Security-Six Spring Question

I have two Security-Six revolvers, one is a 150 series, and the other a 152. Both have Wolff springs in them. I have the springs that came out of them, but I’m not sure which springs came from which gun. The hammer springs are identical, but the trigger return springs are not. One is made from...

What I like about my SR1911

I recently challenged a buddy at the range to hit a five inch steel swinger at 100 yards with his over-priced and over-rated Kimber. Some sort of a little carry gun in .45. He took me up on it, and nailed it on the first shot. :)

    Early “Flat Gate” Single Six?

I bought a 98% 1957 for about $500-550 and later sold it for what I paid for it. Box and paperwork would have added some. A shooter with honest wear? I dunno, maybe $400-425? *I recall I did have the original store recipe for mine. The original owner paid $67 for it in 1957. :)

    Lubricants

Unless you’re Hickok45. He sprays a whole can of Ballistol on pretty near every gun he shoots.

    10mm backup to SR1911

    Both should be excellent guns.

Did Ruger raise the prices on the Mini 14 recently?

Prices for the Mini-14 have been climbing steadily for the past few years now. It’s a little strange, because back in 2012, when they were $650 or so, an AR-15 was about $1,000-1,200. Now, the Mini’s are pushing $800, but you can buy a Ruger AR-556 for $479. Things have basically reversed.
