Maybe a Handi converted to 445 Super Mag shoots 44 mag and special with 16.5 barrel and iron sight. Work was done by local smith on both he is competent.

How about a 870 tactical with 20" rifled barrel and 18 inch barrel in Duracoat with extras.

Guy name Skeeter Skelton use to load 38 specials in his 357 loaded to OAL of 357. I have dome this and it will solve some of your problems. In his book he writes about killing small game using 158 cast bullet and a dose of powder would have to look it up.

Had this Redhawk and decided it too big so had the barrel trimmed to 3 3/4" and slabbed sided, A Weigand interchangeable front sight system (uses S&W DX based) and a Williams rear fiber optics. A little handier now and might give an Alaskan a run for its money.
