funny that you are the only guy to say that.
why would shoving Chore boy into a barrel be anymore effective then pushing a tightly fit copper slug pushed by 29000 psi combined with heat?
thanks for the reply..
it is nice to know I'm not the only one....
Ultimately I just want to make good ammo, and seeing lead in my barrel makes me think I’m not doing it right.
yup. that is why I'm playing around. 3 reasons
1. my jug of H110 doesn't last very long.
2. I also wanted some "lighter" loads. I plan to but a new Vaquero.
3. I wanted to settle on a powder that worked for 45ACP and 45 colt.
I've been thinking about changing bullets. I've used the...
been experimenting with new powder and everything new is giving me some leading  just some light leading on the start of the rifling. I got the reamer from Brownell and reamed my throats. and gave it another shot.
these are all "Ruger only loads"
with laser cast 255 . win primers
what...
I got a 5.5 45 convertible. its super nice.
the 45ACP cylinder doesn't like semi wad cutters. the throats are tight. factory FMJ works great. and the throats can be fixed pretty easily.
got the data from oregon trail in the mail today. my 18 grains of h-110 was below their start load by half a grain and they specify a CCI 300 primer. I don't have that primer.
but they do have a load specified with with no start load>
CCI350s and 20.0 grains h-110, starline case. at 1213fps...
Did the WTB ask for a speed six or just any 357/44? the guy might not of know the difference between a speed six from a blackhawk.
his loss. that is a nice revolver.
when I called them they wouldn't email or tell load data over the phone. but they will mail photocopies of their load manual. they sent me their 45 colt pages. but... this bullet is not in it. I scanned them as PDFs. if you want it PM me.
