I'll second those thoughts and add custom inserts in the factory grip as an option. I did the factory grip/Hogue/Pachmayr goose chase until finally ending up with the factory grip with custom inserts just slightly thicker than stock.

Can't score them all. If we did, as mentioned above, we would go broke fast. You will get much better return on investment from the lathe by way of usefulness and enjoyment seeing how you already have 44 Specials. What would another add?

1988 vintage 38 Spcl. Meprolight sight, grip inserts of my own making, stock springs with smoothed and polished internals. I have wood Hogue and Pachmayr grips for it but I shoot it best with the factory grip with my inserts.

Lee Perfect Powder Measure mounted on my Lee turret press. I weigh every tenth powder drop to ensure it hasn't varied.

I've never used a steel lined belt...seems a bit of overkill. Heavy leather belts have served me well. I've carried SPs, GPs, Redhawks and Blackhawks. Never felt any sag from the weight of the gun.

I was given a box of 148 gr, button nose wadcutters. I have no idea the maker as the label on the box was long gone. I've always crimped in the crimp groove . Tumble lubed with liquid alox and pushed by 3.0 gr of Titegroup I get good accuracy and no leading in my 3" SP101. They'll anchor a barn...

Appears to be a casting flaw. It, by itself, on the surface may be just cosmetic. But if there is one, are there or could there be others? I would send it back. Welcome to the Forum!
