It would not have to do with ammo availability since the .327 can take the .32 H&R Mag. as well as the .32 Long and in most cases, the .32 acp as a semi-rimmed cartridge has worked for me in my revolver. Edit, I am just reading Star43's question about the accuracy of the .32 acp and apologies...
I have a Ruger in .32 H&R Mag. and like it a lot. I have many brass & bullets and reload for it. It may be easier to find this ammo than the .32-20 ammo. And the revolver will also take .32 Longs.
My guess is the spring has worn out. I sent one of my springs to a company that made up springs and learned that making up a dozen was about the same price as making up one. I had them make up a dozen or so and the total cost was very low. Many years ago and I forget the figure, maybe $70. I...
Where the bullet speed is measured may factor in as well. And do try another chrono as the readings may not be the same. And maybe get some factory ammo with published data and run it through your rig and contrast the results.
They made three, you left out the Colt Agent which had a smaller grip. All good guns. I think I have owned them all at one time or another. And one had a shield to protect the hammer sort of like the S&W Model 49.
I think these bullets are good for defense carry as well as target use. One of the reasons to have a double ended wad cutter is to avoid too much pressure from blowing through which can happen with hot loads using hollow base wadcutters. A fair amount has been written on the subject. Given...
Nobody has mentioned this specially, so I will. One handed carry of a rifle is easiest if the rifle does not have a scope. Beyond that, depending on your hand size, small at the carry point is more comfortable than large, at least for me. I like being able to load the rifle with shorts or...
If this was mentioned earlier, I didn't see it. Having the ability to reload is nice in the event everything shuts down for whatever reason. Existing ammo you don't need can be disassembled and the components used for the ammo you need. Food for thought.
Now somewhere in the Black Mountain Hills of Dakota
There lived a young boy named Rocky Raccoon
And one day his woman ran off with another guy
Hit young Rocky in the eye
Rocky didn't like that
He said, "I'm gonna get that boy"
So one day he walked into town
Booked himself a room in the local...
I worked a number of years for Pete Harvey who had four 2 day auctions a year. I am making a guess that about half of the items were picked up and the others shipped. One of my jobs was packaging and shipping. We would get back to the shop after the auction and unload. Then, the next day, we...
