    Just bought my first Ruger, an sR22

    I have had no issues with Federal Champion and CCI Minimags. Have fired 400 rounds total through it. I like you fired it right when I picked it up but took a bore snake to the barrel and it fired without any issues.

    Bought a 10/22 (update w/pics)

    To date I have shot 1025 rounds no problems but upgrading to KIDD trigger job, realizing when pulling the trigger I am pulling the gun back as well affecting my accuracy and wearing out my wrist and finger.

    Congrats on your purchase. I have shot 825 rounds through mine and it is damn accurate with my scope setup. You will have some fun!

    Just got home from the gun show- New SR22

    I just got mine today and shot 200 rounds at the LGS/range along with my SR9. Found it more fun to shoot than my SR9. Only a couple FTFs due to bad ammo.

    sr9 dry fire practice

    Yes it is ok to dry fire without the mag disconnect. I along with others though would rather have the magazine in with snap caps just to prevent wear on striker pin.

    I stay away from +P ammo. My friends tell me shoot standard pressure ammo. Less abuse on your gun. Standard ammo will still stop an intruder.

    I think it is like fiberglass. It may add to the rigidity of the frame without it I would think there would be a lot of flexing involved and with recoil forces it needs that rigidity.

    How to ship to Ruger?

    Put it in the Ruger supplied case that you bought the gun in and put it in the cardboard box, seal it and take it to the UPS MAIN office to have it shipped. Do not take it to the UPS Store they will not accept firearms.
