I solved the problem after comparing it to pics of 150 and 151 frames. It is a low 151 serial number with a "humpback" or "low back grip frame". That is why the 4 sets of 151 grips would not fit. Guess I'll try 150 grips next.

Well, I tried 3 sets of 151 Pachmayr Presentation rubber grips and a set of factory 151 Target grips. None of 4 sets came close to fitting. Screw and pins on Ruger do not match up with grips and butt seems a bit wider. Original grips fit perfectly. Could this be a 150?
