@G2 what's the story with those octagon barreled guns? Exclusive for a particular distributor or custom? They look amazing.

Picked up the Blackhawk today. It's in really good shape except for some missing finish on the trigger guard. The unconverted 3 screw feels like a completely different gun than my new model Super Blackhawks. I really like it and can't wait to get to the range with it.

Supposed to meet the owner later today at a local FFL to complete the trade deal. I'll update the post with more pictures. Thanks for everyone's feedback and responses.

Thanks for the responses and sorry for another question. What is the difference between the gun in my original post with the rounded trigger guard and this three screw 45 with the squared off trigger guard?

I have a chance to pick up this gun locally. I own a couple new model Blackhawks, but no unconverted guns. I know unconverted guns seem to be worth more. Any help with the value would be appreciated. These are the only pictures I have. 4 5/8" barrel, 45 colt.

Interesting that Ruger's workforce was impacted that much. As for FA, their used guns are much more readily available on some of the online auction sites so it would be easier to buy than the lone SBH on gunbroker in 454.

I saw that, was hoping to find one less than $2k. I'll buy a freedom arms if I get into that price range.
