Just went and handled one of these at Cabelas. Had my eye on it since reviews started popping up.
Overall I really liked it. Like really liked it. Over the years I've owned the SR9, XDM, CZ75b and currently have a G19 and M&P9.
I would say the RAP is the most solid feeling ~$500 - $700 pistol...
It's all about proper low-light use. Using the spill of your weapon light, you can search and clear while keeping your gun pointed in a safe direction.
Using a hand-held has a disadvantages like, taking up your free hand and leaving you shooting 1 handed.
Strobe should disorient yes. Supposedly if you're in a dark room and someone uses it on you it'll make you sick.
But that light is good without strobe, 160 lumens, solid construction etc. You won't find another light at that price that has the same quality.
Wow, this took off.
Pretty much what Rev said, if you train with a laser it's a crutch. You should be training with your sights. If you DO train with your sights like you should, then a laser will actually slow you down in any light.
I'm not going to make any bold epeen claims about me...
So, how is this suppose to help anything? Curious...
Either way I think lasers are a complete waste of time. They're basically a gimmick for people that think their sights aren't enough. I'll probably catch hate for that cause I know there are people here that use them.
But why would you...
It's more of a choice to shoot limited than anything. My other option would be production which limits your round count to 10 rounds per mag.
and thanks!
