    Old Army returning ?

Thanks so much, I looked at the Gunbroker links you listed, I also noticed that the serial number prefix starts with 147, on the Stainless gun, the frame polishing looks awful and the barrel billboard looks like they used a different stamp, the letters seem to be very small.

    Old Army returning ?

I've seen this but for years it has had this on the page "This item is in the Lipsey's Catalog, but it does not mean that it is currently in-stock. Please contact a Lipsey's Dealer to order."

    Old Army returning ?

Is there any truth to the rumor the Ruger is running a short run on the Old Army revolver for Talo ? I have seen a few posts on Facebook about this but was not sure. A phone call to Ruger about this was returned with a NO, so what's going on. Thanks

    Single Six pre-conversion parts

Ruger still returns the old parts, they belong to the owner not to Ruger

    Old Model Conversions

Thanks Contender, I understand were it would be located but I do disagree to a point that it does affect the value. Most dealers I buy from will always ask more for a unconverted 3 screw, normally I am allowed to partially disassemble a gun at my LGS only because of my loyal business with them...

    Old Model Conversions

Quick question on Ruger's Old Model Safety Conversions, does Ruger in anyway stamp the frame to denote that a revolver has been returned and converted by them ? I saw mention of this on another forum, I personally have never seen evidence of this on any Old Model that I have or examined, Thanks...

    Re-bluing a plum blackhawk frame

Depending on the vintage and overall condition of the revolver, the plum coloring is a plus to collectors, so a few more details from your end would be helpful. Is it an Old Model most obviously because New Models don't usually turn Plum, photo's would be appreciated

    Revolver never fired, really?

Well said gtxmonte and my point exactly, I would not call anyone a liar in saying their guns are unfired, I just have no way to prove it because there is no way to prove it

    Revolver never fired, really?

Quite a few posting here have said they had purchased and have unfired this and that, that's great, I too save all the things that come with a new gun, hang tags, ect, ect, but that's means little when it comes to convincing a potential buyer that it is truly unfired, what positive proof is...
