Which company do you buy your cast handgun bullets from?

Another vote for Rim Rock. Excellent products at a fair price. Also I've never experienced better customer oriented friendly service.(Priceless) I really like their 148gr Outdoorsman for .38 Super. As for coated bullets Bayou Bullets snagged me with their .41 Mag bullet. No muss, no fuss...

    New Ruger .22 Revolver Introduced

I was just looking through post from a year or so back. Sale prices sure have changed. I picked up my first Wrangler, a Model 2003 from a local Mom & Pop a few weeks back @$185.00 otd. The lowest I've seen elsewhere lately is $199.00 plus tax. Unless I'm greatly fooled (that would be no big...

    10/22 barrel slightly canted

I have a standard 10-22 carbine that with a scope in place is easily detectable something isn't square. I haven't investigated yet, but the scope and barrel aren't aligned. Could be as simple as the base drilled off center? My bet is it ain't the base. This is an easy way to confirm receiver...

    Wrangler trigger pull weight

There has been a noticeable amount of creep on every one I've tried. I don't recall the actual measured weight before installing a Blackhawk spring kit. After installing the spring kit I realized that I gained nothing from the mainspring change, and before bending the hooks of the Wilson very...

If an old friend asked about semi-auto carbine?

I like the Ruger PC 9mm. I have the more subdued looking one in basic black. Model 19100. Previously I had a KelTec Sub2000 that I just couldn't ever warm up to. The Ruger's handy size, low recoil, and compatibility with Ruger or Glock mags make it easy to feed. For home defense the 9mm is what...

    10/22 Prices WOW.

I picked this one up yesterday. I tried to walk away, but I kept thinking about how good it looks when compared with hardwood or plastic stocked versions. $380 OTD

    Ruger American Ranch, 5.56

I've had mine for a few weeks. The AR magazine ain't push feed bolt action friendly, at least not for bench shooting. I can't ease one into the chamber. I use one quick motion and it works fine. As the round leaves the mag the heavy spring pressure causes it to leap upward. This makes for...

    universal or tight group..?

Universal is my "go to" powder. I'm a converted Unique user. Meters great, yields good load density in most apps, versatile and clean. An excellent all around powder.

Do you listen to music when reloading?

I load in my garage. I have an inexpensive Onkyo receiver, pair of bookshelf speakers, a 10" powered subwoofer, a cd player, and a network streaming device. Yes, I listen while I load.

    Light loads causing split cases?

Pretty bold statement above. Large case low density loads and detonation aren't a cause. It's a double or triple charge? Got any data to back it?

    454 casull

The .454 Casull is far and away my favorite big bore magnum round. It mates well to the Super Redhawk. I've owned more than a few of this combo and can highly recommend it to anyone serious about power and precision accuracy in a manageable package.

Reloading .44 Magnums with the limited powders we have?

For me, Accurate #5 has been an excellent powder in the .45 ACP. Never tried it in a .44. Accurate #9 is likely too slow of a burner for most .45 ACP applications Universal Clays is my favorite "go to" powder, but not for magnum performance levels. One powder for optimum performance in both...

Reloading .44 Magnums with the limited powders we have?

I've used W296/H110 for the majority of my 44 Mags. This powder isn't friendly to reduced charges/velocities. I keep Accurate #7 and Hodgdon Longshot on hand for full power 9mm and 40 S&W loads. They will allow some less than top end loads in the .44 Mag.

    38 super

I'm a fan of the .38 Auto/Super in the 1911 platform. Has nothing to do with thump. The Super has become and will likely remain for the most part a handloader's round. This does limit its mass appeal. For those that do load, it can become a favorite. I shoot .355" .356" and .357" diameter...
