New to forum and new to Mini 14.

After wanting one for many years, I finally broke down and bought one for a Christmas present to myself. First range trip I ran several magazines full at 25 yds. And it was right on target. Next time I’ll be @ 50 yds. Now that my confidence is up. BTW The gun ran flawlessly, and was a joy to...

    Seeking Mini 14 sling suggestion

I almost dropped my mini the other day because although the wood stock is beautiful, it is quite slick and almost slipped from my hands when I was putting it in the safe. I think a sling would give me something to hold on to……I welcome suggestions. Thank you

    Ruger's Security-9: A Basic General Purpose Pistol

I was intrigued by your thread . I have arthritis in my hands and have come to carry only 380; so any info on guns available in that caliber stirs my interest. Thank you for posting it. I feel what the 380 lacks in power it gains in accuracy. I go to the range often and keep my skills in top form.

9mm powder for 115gr Hornady XTP bullet

Of the powders you listed A2 would be cleanest but my personal choice for 9 mm is TiteGroup. When I’ve been using it for all my reloading needs.

    A .380

I am almost 80 Y.O. and recently have decided that 380 is my best choice for carry. I’ve got arthritis in my hands but thankfully I can still shoot the eyes out of a rat at 20 paces. My last range trip this past week to the range The RO commented “you had a hard time making it down stairs but...

    wet molding soft leather?

What Vaguru said is true. I have made many of my own holsters and have noticed once they are sealed, dyed and shaped that cannot be re-done by wet molding

Stiff loading gate on Wrangler fix yet?

Before getting my Wranglers I read all about tight loading gates. Honestly, I had no prior experience with single actions and was fully expecting having a hard time opening the gate. In reality, mine are not difficult at all to open and I was a bit surprised I had a totally different experience.

    Mark iv Stainless Hunter?

Where are they? I’ve been looking for one for a while and can’t find any in stock from my usual FFL sources. None of these are obscure mom and pop stores, but rather large stores. I sold my Mark III stainless because I had to send it back twice after cleaning it because I couldn’t put it back...

    Ruger LCR 327 Federal

I am lucky to have one of these because they are quite hard to find. But I do have a question: lately I have been carrying the LCR 327 loaded with 6 rounds of 32 H&R Magnum Critical Defense FTX rounds by Hornady. Prior to this time I carried a Sig 365/380 stuffed with 11 rounds of 380 Also...

    Ruger mark 4

I’m a firm believer in keeping a firearm all factory (except for sights). when changing out trigger parts you invite problems. I own a Mark IV and It shoots great; never had a problem.

    Shooting Rest

I used a Caldwell shooting rest today for the first time. I think it’s filled with corn Cobb Medea and it’s pretty heavy. It worked really well for my purpose.

I never saw a 380 rimmed cartridge nor did I ever know there was such a thing.
