I seriously doubt the people in customer service know what marketing and the big wigs have in mind for future offerings. :) JMHO though.
It is a race to the bottom, as in most industries.

Well, I do have a newer GP100 without "Sturm" on the barrel and it seems to be a good firearm.
I guess the reason I say "Sturm Ruger" needs to be on the barrel is because of the lack of quality control displayed over the last few years.
I'm not one to buy into "the customer service is the best"...
"I'd say because we all know what a GP100 looks like and we know what a Super Redhawk looks like and this way they have a NEW MODEL to sell with rather minimum really new design work. The general cylinder approach is right out of the LCR, and most of the current Redhawks use sleeve-and-tube...
This is not long distance but, it was free standing at 10 yards with a 1970 Ruger SC5 Single Six shooting .22 Magnums. 18 shots total. CCI .22 Magnum hollow points.
Using a NRA B-3, 50ft rapid fire pistol target.

It is a Single Six with the Vaquero style frame. I have this one, and I also have a 5-1/2" version.
The sales receipts state NR6F and NR5F from when I bought them new. The boxes are long gone, so I can only assume the guns were written up as per the information on the box.
