I've never owned a 77 MKII/Hawkeye in a WSM, but I did run some rounds through one once to see how it fed... worked great! The Ruger magazine is also a bit longer than the Remington which is a plus. Only thing I don't like about the Ruger is the 22" barrel.

I'm not a No.1 guy, and I love SS hunting rifles, just can't stand them in walnut... the RSI is a traditionalist's rifle. Nothing but ugly for me in SS/Walnut. But we can agree to disagree...
