How Many Rounds To Wear Out a Ruger Revolver?

I will let you know if it ever happens. I have a 2.75” Speed Six .357 that I have had since 1981 or 82. I shot it a LOT the first 10 or so years until we switched over to issued autos. I still shoot it very regularly. I have no idea how many rounds I have fired through it, or one of my sons...

    HENRY REVOLVERS

What a shame. Henry finally makes a mistake…. A big one I think. When I heard they might release a revolver I assumed it would be SAA-ish for certain. I never would have guessed it would be a double action revolver, especially one this ugly. Double action would be just fine… but MAN is it...

When Did the Ruger Blackhawk Become a $700 Revolver?

Last summer I picked up a Cimarron "Rooster" in LC. So far I have been very impressed with it. We have shot it at least 300-400 rounds so far. Hit at POA, pretty accurate with better ammo, and not bad with the lesser expensive cowboy loads. I hesitated based on a couple of pizza shooters I...

When Did the Ruger Blackhawk Become a $700 Revolver?

About 15 minutes after I decided I wanted another one. I just saw an OLD ARMY fixed, 5.5” sell for over $1800 on GB. I am struggling not to sell mine. Prices are crazy anymore. I am happy I am on the selling side of things I have picked up over the last 40 years. Hard times for people new...

Back from an involuntary absence, and an Old Army question.

Thanks folks. I am still undecided. I agree that it will not lose it’s value, but am also considering the fact that there are others who would get more enjoyment out of it than I will as my only reason for owning it is to educate the kiddo’s a little while I can. I can do that with an Italian...

What .45 ACP do you conceal carry most often?

Govt length Nighthawk, followed closely by a Wilson CQB Compact, then my old 4506 Smith.

Any love here for the Six series guns?

My first duty backup and off duty carry was my 2 3/4” SS Speed Six. In those days I had to cut costs wherever I could, so it put a permanent dent in my right hip from being carried Mexican style and depending on rubber grips to keep it in place ABOVE my belt. Even after switching to autos it...

Am I the only one who likes Buck Knives?

My 110 is almost 50 years old. Got it when I was in high school. It was on my belt at school every day after that and through some of my college years. That right there says it’s been a few years. I am on the 3rd belt sheath for this one. My current is a nice basketweave open top I picked up...

If I could only have one Ruger

I have several Rugers and like them all.... but all but one could be replaced with a non Ruger if necessary. So... if I could only have one? It would be a stainless No1 in 45/70. But first I have to find one. Been looking quite a while. I have nothing by other makers to replace that one.

WTB - Used, worn but serviceable RH holster for 4 3/4 SAA or New Vaq

I have an old Colt SAA incoming and I need a RH holster for it. Prefer crossdraw but strong side will do as well. I hate to put it in new leather, so looking for something not quite so new.... even old... as long as it is serviceable, tight threads, etc. Let me know what you have please...
