I carried my Boy Scout knife then demo in my pocket with a lanyard clipped to my belt. Nowadays I carry a multitool-usually a Leatherman-and a folding knife, usually a Buck 110 in belt sheaths.
On another board someone asked this question. IIRC all New Models are built on the Super Blackhawk frame and a new cylinder wouldn't fit on an Old Model Blackhawk Frame. ?
My understanding is that the "experts" say factory ammo for SD so no one can paint you as a sadistic fiend out to do grievous harm.
I don't hunt, if I did accuracy would be my prime interest, along with having lower cost tailored ammunition for practice.
