I’ve had 4”, 5.5”, and 7.5” and no doubt like the 5.5” best. Got my 44 in 1983 by trading my 7.5” for it.

The original 44 Magnum FT was on the large frame as have all of the 44 and 41 Mags.

I really like the 7 1/2" BH's. Makes perfect "truck gun" sense. I'm always wearing a revolver in mine, but also carry one of two rifles, either a Win 94 30 w.c.f. or a Marlin 1894 .357. Dan

Very Nice!! I have a set of those same grips. Took a sander to them and now they are comfortable and take away the "knuckle knocking" from the square trigger guard. Have a fun hunt! Dan

The only "issue" I have had on some holsters is with a retention strap. If you try a holster with a strap they can be very tight with a Bisley. I have soaked the straps and stretched them enough to work. Dan

Real Colts (First Generation SAA's) had case hardened hammers. I don't like the SS hammers on blued guns either, but its easy to see why it is done. Only having to stock hammers of one material I am sure is a big cost savings, and that is what it is all about now. When carbon steel hammers are...
