    Why "hot loads" ?

A better question is why does it bother you so much what others shoot in their gun? Are you paying for their ammo? Are you buying their guns? Why do gun companies build guns so strong that they can safely shoot hot loads and why do those same companies build these stupid tiny light weak guns...

    my bear thumper

The ruger 480 is a wonderful cartridge capable of doing many things well. You don't need to hot rod it all the time to make it work well. Unlike the 9mm it truly is a one caliber arsenal. With the 480 you can shoot mouse loads or moose loads and both are comfortable to shoot

What kind of groups are you getting?

That sounds like it should be a good load. Being a poor white boy with a incurable disease casting works best for me ymmv

What kind of groups are you getting?

They are pure super soft lead we with a very thin coat playing. Coated bullets would be cheaper and perform much better

What kind of groups are you getting?

You need to dump those bullets and get a decent bullet or cast your own

Bullet shape: Round nose vs semi wad cutter

I have read and experience and more than one occasion and in more than one revolver that a round nose will be more accurate than a semi wadcutter the theory is that the round nose is able to get centered up into the forcing cone faster and easier than a semi wadcutter were there that's true or...

Test loads for my "leading" Alaskan .454/.45 Colt

Check the throats on your cylinder I read where a lot of the RedHawks have oversized throat and you'll need a 454 bullet instead of a 452 size LED bullet to keep from letting your gun

    Cost of Casting

If you shoot at a outdoor range they may allow you to pick up the let out of the burn for free or maybe a small price I started casting because I couldn't find a bullet for the 45 Colt that I like I design my own and have a back getting started in casting can be as cheap or as expensive as you...

    Navy seal foundation edition 1911

I guess it would depend on if you were a Navy seal or wanted to gift a Navy seal and how much sentimental value of antifreeze would hold. I have a very good friend who is a Seal and if I could ever figure out how to find one price wouldn't matter as it would just be a thanks for all you do gift

    Long 480 Ruger bullets

I use range lead most of the time. They usually fall out at 425 penetrate like crazy and have given 4-6 inch groups open sights at 100yds

    Long 480 Ruger bullets

I designed and shoot the 48-420v to be shot out of my Redhawk. Unless I red the numbers wrong the crimp to nose measurement is the same as mine. It will load and shoot just fine crimped in the crimp groove

Most efficent cast bullet weight for 480 Ruger

Designed and shoot the accurate mold 48-420v and the 48-405E in my 480 srh and my 475 BFR both give super results and I've done 4 inch groups at a 100yds open sights with each
