    Ruger vs S&W Revolvers

Aww, come on. Let's do Ford or Chevy...

The Springfield XDS....Almost clueless about this gun,Want info and opinions?

I had a Mod1 .45, regrettably traded away, that I'd gladly buy all over again at that price...

"Ruger LCR Revolver in 327 Federal Magnum, for Close Quarters Self Defense?"

For some reason I have never heard of anyone who, when having a gun pointed at them, asked, "Hey, what caliber gun is that?"

    Squib

In factory ammo -- very rare. In handloaded ammo -- depends on who loaded it.

    Blazer ammo

It is as dangerous to your gun as WD40... Never forget, half of what "they" and "somebody" says is flat-out wrong; the rest is highly suspect.

CCW Safe, know of any case that they helped?

As always, read and understand any contract before signing. Several of these outfits specify in the fine print that they will not represent you if you are charged in a shooting case. My question -- why do you need such services if you are NOT charged?

Is it safe to fire .38 rounds out of a .357, or will it damage the revolver?

Perfectly fine to shoot .38's in a .357 revolver. But hold on, someone will inevitably come along to say it is disastrous...

South Carolina Now Permitless Carry State

    Anti-constitutionalist would be more appropriate.

South Carolina Now Permitless Carry State

I agree with Blume. Contrary to the preachers of doom and destruction -- who said EXACTLY the same junk when concealed carry permits were approved -- the world will not end but continue to turn, just perhaps a bit more peaceably.

    anyone carry this way??

If this is true for you, your pants are 'way too tight. Unless the pants I am wearing are 2" larger than I need in the waist I wear my "IWB" holsters inside the belt/outside the pants. if your belt is a good one, stability is fine.

    Cleaning Frequency

Only a black powder gun "needs" to be cleaned after every use -- and by that I mean, if you don't clean it NOW it will be a hunk of rust tomorrow. Cleaning a gun every time you use it is a good habit, but frankly most guns can do with nothing more than a wipe-down between shooting sessions for...

    Powder question.

"Detonation" caused by small charges of fast powder has never been proven, or even duplicated under lab conditions. It is my firm belief that such gun-destroying events actually result from inadvertent double charges of powder. BUT, follow the manuals carefully and neither small charges of...

    22lr carry for defense??

My take on this question is simply that a hit with a .22 is better than a miss with anything bigger. Certainly no one would suggest that .22 LR is the ideal cartridge for self defense, but it seems to me absolutely essential that you must be 100% comfortable with your self-defense gun in order...

New Model 45LC / New to me!

My favorite whitetail handgun for many years is my Bisley .45 with a Tasco ProPoint dot scope mounted in a Wiegand base. Makes the heaviest loads pleasant to shoot, with accuracy much farther than I care to shoot. .44 Mag? Who needs it? ;-)

Reliable Carry Ammo for the LCP Max

I've never owned an LCP, but I do own three other .380's -- Beretta Pico, Sig P365, and Bersa -- and all have been 100% reliable EXCEPT with Hornady Personal Defense. That stuff is pure poison in all three, will not run a full mag without at least one jam. How they claim 1000 fps is beyond me...
