    Rubber or Wood Grips?

After thinking about this one for a few seconds, it occured to me that I don't have rubber grips on any of my handguns. They all wear wood, so I guess that's my preference. Daryl

Will this S&W M10 holster fit GP100 4 inch with fs grips

If you look around, you can find some pretty decent deals on used model 10's. Probably far cheaper than what you'd end up paying for the 2nd rate Taurus new. Seriously, most used 10's I see are selling for less than $300.00. figure up to $50 more of it's like new. Seems like J&G sales had...

    favorite revolver round?

I'd be hard pressed to choose between the .38 special and the .45 Colt. Daryl

    Feel of Single Action Grips

Whether or not you'll be comfortable shooting any particular type of gun is something you'll have to decide. With some practice, most platforms become familiar. The first vehicle I ever drove was a Jeep CJ-5 Eenegade. After getting used to that, driving a low profile car seemes really odd...

    Frame size comparison question

The Single Six is somewhere between a J and a k frame. J-frames are smaller, but typically have short barrels that you don't usually find on a Single Six. The K-frame is larger than the Single Six, but is likely as close as you'll find in a DA S&W revolver. Daryl

    45Colt vs 44 Spl

I love the .45 Colt, and shoot it quite a bit...but I do so in a full sized revolver. In the mid-framed guns, I'd go with the .44 special. Not that I'd push it all that hard; if that's my goal (which it is at times), I go for a full sized .45 Colt. The .44 special offers quite a bit though...

    CCW guns are fine but...

Open Carry -- the sulution that existed before the problem of CCW. I still open carry some. Fixes the problem of firearms that aren't easily concealed. :) With my current selection, CCW limits me to carrying a J-frame S&W. OC opens the choices quite a bit. Unfortinately, it's not legal in...

    Handgun Bear Calibers

In truth, the answer is heavily dependant on who's asking this sort of question. I would NOT recommend using a minimal cartridge handgun to after a grizzly on your first grizzly hunt. Likewise, if you've never shot any other large animals with the intended cartridge/revolver combo, then I...

The 44 Mag Belly Gun You Always Wanted

Exactly. I've seen beautiful custom revolvers that started out as a firearm that fell from a moving vehicle, and so forth. I'd easily give $150 for it, but not much more. It needs some work (badly), and should go to someone willing to make it what she should have been. ;) Daryl

The 44 Mag Belly Gun You Always Wanted

Looks like a good prospect for a restoration job, if someone could get it cheap enough. Or, maybe do some good custom work on it? Anything one could do would be an improvement. Something tells me they can get it cheap enough, if it sells at all. Daryl

    Vaquero

Back around '03 when I bought my Vaquero, I had the choice of a birdshead, or several others. For my uses, the birdshead just won't work. Barrel was too short, and I didn't like the feel. But now I wish I'd bought a couple of those, too. They sell pretty easy, and at decent prices. Seems...

Anyone here made grips from ironwood?

Rumrunner, I also have a few items made from ironwood. Quail, roadrunner, and such. It's definitely heavy, but I don't think it's too heavy for grips. They're relaitively thin, so shouldn't be too bad. I'll break out the saws today and see what I'm getting myself into. My dremel tool is...
