I had fed all kinds of cheap ammo without any problems.... then one day got a light strike, cleared it and ran a few more mags, no problems. I removed striker at home and was surprised at all the junk at the bottom on the "tube" tried like hell with q-tips and pipe cleaners but not much luck...

You are correct.......take the base plate from the "california" 10 rounder off and use the base plate from the SR9c. I found a 10 rnd mad in the bargin bin at Cabelas for like $12 and it worked like a charm.....
