Took my Ruger Mark III apart to clean for the first time.

I've had my mark iii 22/45 apart over a dozen or so times. Don't look for it to loosen up too much in that amount of time. Love the gun, but it can be a bear to disassemble/reassemble. I purposely have disassembled it to cleaned it more often than I would a .22 that I take to the range every...

    P95 incoming

My blued p95 was one of the best $325 purchases I've made. Congrats on a nice pistol at a very good price.

    Mini-14 Stainless vs Target Hogue

I've owned a target hogue for about a year and a half. Very accurate for a mini, very heavy for a mini as well, over a pound heaver. All in all a nice rifle. From my experience here are the things to consider. 1) will you be reloading .223? If so a harmonic dampner is redundant. You could...

    Scope for mini 14

I had a leupold vxI 3-9x40 on mine that I was happy w/. I still have the scope on rings to put back on the mini, but now have an aimpoint that I picked up when midway had them for $225 which I like better for shooting up to 100yrds.

I said I would never own another Mini

I feel your pain. I have a hogue target mini. Ruger did a great job improving the accuracy but the weight and ballance of the rifle leaves much to be desired. w/ a 3-9 scope I got it down to 2 moa @ 100 yards w/ fed. bulk ammo. Ended up putting an aimpoint on it and it is a fun gun to shoot...

    ammo or p95???

Although my first reaction would be: you should buy ammo, that would be wrong. Buy another P95, or another gun that you want. The reason I say this is based on the fact that my wife would notice extra guns in the safe long before she'd inventory my ammo. +/- 1000 rounds of 9mm it looks about...

    Slow Motion P95

Many competition shooters load their own ammo to be just enough for competition. These loads are just hot enough to knock down steel targets, but much weaker than factory loads to reduce recoil. But I'm not sure that the slide would move much slower. Blinking seems reasonable to me as well.

Which caliber handgun would you buy?

I wonder if anyone who was ever shot at thought: Oh nothing to worry about...it's only 9mm. 9mm is cheap, you can afford to shoot much more, and while I enjoy shooting .45, even if $$$ was not a factor, I'd still shoot more 9mm each time I go to the range.

    SR9c

I would have much rather seen a 9mm LCP.

10/22 see thru rings w/ ruger weaver base sight options???

I'm sure others have run into this issue, so I hope there's an answer out there. For the past year I have had see thru rings w/ no base on my 10/22 and have enjoyed the ability to use scope or sights. The only problem is now I want to be able to switch between a red dot (that will end up on my...

Is it crazy to want both tactical Mini 14's?

I don't think you're alone on this. I put off buying a tactical mini this because I wanted both the ATI stock and the flash suppressor. The 2010 catalog/website has model #5846 Cat # M-14/20CF. Which has the ATI stock w/ flash suppressor. But now I think I'll wait for this rifle to come in...

What is wrong with the P95?

I've had my P95 over a year and shot aprox. 1000 rounds. Had one stove pipe w/in first 75 rounds. Also had FTF when a friend limp wristed it. Other than that perfect! Great gun, and the easiest to clean/maintain out of all the firearms I own. I'd buy another.

    SR-22

MSRP $625...no iron sights. Seems a little much to me. But if you really need a 10/22 that makes you look like you fast roped out of a helicopter on the way to the gun club, it may be the way to go. As an AR trainer it seems no better/worse than any other 10/22.
