New, 9mm New Model Blackhawk cylinder on eBay. I have no dog in the fight.

Bought an old model .357 Blackhawk from the BX in Canada (about $70) many yrs ago. When I took it to the CF range for the first time it wouldn’t chamber .357 ammo. I was ready to return it to the BX until my Cdn friend pointed out it was chambered in 9mm. He gave me a can of CF 9mm (940rds)...

Did I get taken at LGS ?

Ordered a .357 Blackhawk thru the Bx when I was stationed in Canada in the early 70s. It arrived marked as a .357 but when i took it to the Canadian Forces range I discovered it had a 9mm cylinder. I was going to return it but a CF friend gave me a can of CF ammo (940rds) so I just kept it...

The eabco sight looks promising, waiting for a response to my email.

    Ruger 44 carbine peep sight

Are you saying the eabco sight doesn't fit the pre-drilled holes on a stock 10/22?

$300 is the rack price on new 10-22's??

Bought my wanut 10/22 back in early 70s from a Gibson’s Discount Store for less than $40. Still have it.

    Ruger 44 carbine peep sight

The .44 barrel is about .07” larger in diameter than the 10/22 so the Brown front sight won’t fit without modification. The scope mount holes on both reeivers appear to be the same distance apart so the rear sight might fit. I wonder if you could use the Brown ”carbine” rear with the oem .44...

    Ruger 44 carbine peep sight

I'm still interested and still looking for a sight. I have the WGRS on my 10/22 but I'm not fond of it. It's difficult to adjust and looses zero if I don't use Loctite on the screws. The Williams 5D-RU is still my first choice if I can find one. The Skinners are interesting but would require...

    Ruger 44 carbine peep sight

Just bought a first generation 44 carbine that I would like to put peep sights on it. The Williams 5D-RU was apparently the sight of choice but it's long out of production. Are there any alternatives? Anybody know where I can find the Williams sight?

    Which is Better?

Bud’s used to have pretty good prices and service, not so much anymore. I’ve used GB and Guns America many times with no problems. They provide a level of protection that you don’t get with a private sale from an unknown seller. Lots of scam artists out there.

    Mini 14 front sight

I have an older (195 series) stainless ranch rifle that I would like to put an "eared" front sight on (think M1 carbine). All I can find is this https://www.midwayusa.com/product/2171531815/. Are there any other options without the flash hider?

Rear sight options Mini 14 Ranch

Waffling between a better rear sight or a red dot on my early Ranch rifle. From searching thru the forum it looks like Tech Sight is the preferred rear sight. Are there other options?

Red dot on a mini 14 Ranch?

I think I'd prefer closed. No preference on buttons. I know the Ultradot is pricier but is there any real advantage to the larger 28mm tube? What mount do I need to mount the sight as far aft as possible?
