Good you figured it out. The only problem I have with my P90 is it will not shoot a semi-wadcutter. Factory or reload. It acts like what you described.
One possible problem is the mouth of the case might be expanded to much. Try run crimping a round slowly without the bullet and see how it feels. If you feel it stick toward the top look at it and see if you see anything.
Make sure the die isn't dirty or damaged.
Good luck
Pretty cool when you can see the bullet going down range isn't it? I've seen it a with my Blackhawk and with my 77/22 using sub-sonic with the magnification cranked up.
I perfer Speer HBWCs but they all shoot good.
I'll be honest I quit keeping logs many years ago. I just make stickers simular to what rugerjunkie has a couple posts up. But them on the box. Make a note or two on new recipes. Once I get what I like I make a note in my reloading manuals.
None of my books show the lenght of the bullet just the Cartridge Overall Lenght (COL).
The books also have the COL from 1.175" up to 1.213" COL. This only 5/10 of an inch.
I reload COL to the headspace for my P90. For the Hornady 185gr reload to 1.22" this feeds and shoots good.
Edit: From...
I just bought a brand new one (4 weeks) and did the same thing. I didn't read paragraph 7 properly. I watched several viedos, talk to a friend I was so frustrated and just took it to a local 'smith. Cost me $47.00. I'll never take it a part again.
Good Luck!
I don't scuba while hunting either. But have gotten wet while hunting in Idaho and several times in Michigan's UP. Some of those bogs/swamps are deceiving. Oh yah, and darn right cold.
If you have your famous "Canoe" mishap; my guess if the ammo is retrived ratherly quickly it'll be good...
Years ago I used to use red nail polish but I quit sealing primers. When I learned about reloading (early 80s) while stationed in Florida I was taught to seal primers. But as time went on and meeting with other reloaders found it wasn't really necessary.
The only thing I do now is use a...
Thanks for the info. I hoping this shoots as nice or better than my Mosin-Nagant. I didn't think to look into reforming 30-06 brass; I have a few 100 pieces laying around.
I have some 150 gr .312 on order. I'll probably pick up some 174gr, if memory serves the 174 gr ar 2400fps was the standard...
