Hoppe's fragrance is like Catnip for Crusty Old Gun Farts.......( this is experience talking here )
...... and I still have an old half gallon jug that I am still working on......so I can't switch now
Opinion #3 .....
Clean with Hoppes....
Oil with Kroil....
Grease with Shooters Choice Synthetic Syringe
( Try not to over-lube a clean gun....just a dab on the shiny contact metal parts )
I have a Henry 22 lever with the Octagon barrel..... It has the Hi-Viz Orange and Yellow Fiber Optic sights on it......might be an option before you go to scope...
I had a Winchester 94 with scope and see thru mounts and I found it to be too bulky for hunting
I checked with Samson....and they only sell the top of the Gas block with a side loop hole on it.....unlike the Original Ruger Folder which has the loop ring hole cast into the LH side of the lower gas block itself..... ( and now Ruger is remaking it the Original way as on the 80's folders ) I...
The Samsons are really nice.....I bought a 'B-team' folder for my stainless 10/22....looks sweet....
The best I can tell is the Samson folder and the Ruger are the same folder.....
( Funny how they are located about 30 minutes away from one another...hmmm )
I bet it does as well..... I had 2 NIB stainless but my bro wanted one..... down to one......may have to get one of these new 'period correct' cousins....but $1500 is gonna be a lot to slide past the Warden these days
yep.....Brand New....has the new type tapered barrel and not the old pencil type barrel like on my Original 80's folder
To my knowledge, Ruger has never made a newer barrel type Mini 14 with a LH side gas block sling loop before.....only on the old pencil barrels ( till now )
Guys used to shoot steel plates at 400 yds with their 357 Maximums at my old club..... It was the only revolver caliber that would reach out and touch someone that far away.... and knock the steel plates over ..... but that was before 454 and 500.....and the 357 max still might have more power...
