.22's are just plain fun and I buy as many as I can. I have defensive and hunting guns that I'm quite happy with, these days I tend to buy range toys.

Always room for another .22lr as far as I'm concerned. I can definitely see me buying one fairly soon.

If they had come through with these SP's a few years ago I'd have been all over it. Smith and Wesson beat them to the party with the 5" short lug J frames, I have the .22lr model 63 and the .357 model 60. I'd have preferred 4" barrels but the 5's work pretty well.

Has anyone had extraction issues with the .45 Colt? I want one but have never had a DA .45 Colt and I'm concerned that the minimal rim could cause the extractor to slip past the case heads.

Once you ensure that it has no collector value due to being a rare variant or something, then I'd by all means clean it up and enjoy it as it was intended. Good luck.

Not a Ruger specific item, but it's a darn good light. I switched to an SR9c and this light is too big for it so I bought a TLR-3. This is actually a better and brighter light but does me no good if I can't mount it. Batteries are good to go and it's nice and bright. Looking for $75.00...

You bought a great gun, I'm loving mine.

Mine requires an effort and has a solid "snap" to it. I'd be uncomfortable if it was too easy to come off safe. Your advice is solid.
