The original batch were made for Acusport as noted above. I bought mine in 2003.

Someone on here made a derogatory comment about his posts on gunsmithing and he left the forum. Was a shame because I enjoyed his work.

Ruger did indeed use up the last of the old model cylinders in new models in 1973.

Hope you enjoy it. I bought one of the first batch back in 2003. I put a Weaver scope on it and tightened to what I thought was tight. First shot with a Ruger Only load quickly disengaged the scope, but I caught it. Now I tighten a lot more. :oops: Dana
