THE 358 WINCHESTER - A TRUE HUNTERS CARTRIDGE

Yes, sometimes a person can get very frustrated with a rifle, load work and optics trying to find the combination that works, hoping you can find where the trouble lies. I have been there and done that in my shooting and hunting life for sure.

THE 358 WINCHESTER - A TRUE HUNTERS CARTRIDGE

Paul you miss understand my point. I am not upset with you, I am only expressing what I demand of myself and if I didn't demand it of myself I feel that it would be sloppiness. Don't take it personal, I was referring to me. Thank you,

THE 358 WINCHESTER - A TRUE HUNTERS CARTRIDGE

I don't care if I am shooting moose or mice, I do not settle for anything accept the tightest group I can get, with the lowest Extreme spread and deviation, that is how it is with me and always has been and always will be and I hit the game I am hunting exactly where I want to hit them with...

THE 358 WINCHESTER - A TRUE HUNTERS CARTRIDGE

I have had nothing but excellence from my 358Win in performance with 225gr bullets at the range and on game. Using 200gr SS NF, 225gr Sierra and Accubond I got very good accuracy. I have been trying to nurse out the same accuracy from the 225gr Accubonds that I was getting with the 225gr...

THE 358 WINCHESTER - A TRUE HUNTERS CARTRIDGE

On the way to work this morning I stopped by the range and shot the last four rounds I had loaded for my 358Win just to see how much adjustment I needed for sighting in my hunting load. I will move it two clicks to the right. Yep, I just love the 358win :)

THE 358 WINCHESTER - A TRUE HUNTERS CARTRIDGE

Now first of all I am not recoil sensitive, I do a lot of shooting and hunting with my 300Win mag. The 300Win Mag will get some folks attention because recoil with just a 165gr bullet can be more than some want. Here is recoil of my 165gr HPBT deer load in my 300Win Mag. Bullet Dia (in)...

Just Checking Out My 358Win for hunting season

Just pushing the envelop with the rifle for fun, getting as much out of it and me as possible. I just like the rifle so much, I have fun messing with the loads a little and shooting it. Like sharing how consistent this rifle and cartridge are for a hunting rifle.

Just Checking Out My 358Win for hunting season

I did not have time last night to load my target load for my 358Win which is 46.5grs of AA2495BR in front of a 225gr Sierra SBT that has a velocity of 2330fps. So, I took my hunting load which is 49.0grs of AA2495BR in front of a Sierra SBT that has a velocity of 2471fps. I went this morning...
