RUGER PC CARNINE 9MM TAKE DOWN

I hope your Ruger PCC works better than my friends. When he got it I was excited to try it out. It was experiencing "Failures to eject" about 1 in every 30 rounds or so. He sent it back and Ruger stated on the repair form that they changed out the bolt face, extractor and a couple of other...

    Velocity PC carbine

I'm not sure about the need for blended powders. I used 9.5grs of AA #9 with a Remington 125gr Golden Saber (38 + 357 bullets) which clocked over 1500fps in multiple barrels. Sierra shows loads as high as 10.5grs AA #9 with their 125gr 9mm bullet. Using the same Remington bullets I averaged...

    Velocity PC carbine

I have a few velocities from some AR-15 carbines. Federal 115 JHP XM9001 (rated for 1300fps) - 1586fps out of a 16" Dark Storm Industries barrel. Federal 115gr JHP +P+ (also rated for 1300fps) - 1613fps out of a 16" Alpha Shooting Sports barrel. Nosler 115gr JHP (Match Grade) - 1438fps out of a...

Ruger GP100 or SW 686 357 Magnum: Using Buffalo Bore 158gr

The S&W will be plenty strong unless you plan on shooting thousands of rounds out of it a year. The 7 shot is actually stronger than the 6 shot due to the location of the stop bolt notches.

    Match Champion

I've seen several of them go for right around $650 on Gunbroker with $15 shipping. I would get one if it had adjustable sights, not much use for a gun with non-adjustable sites in my world. I would also rather have the standard GP-100 front site that is easy to swap out. I'm not sure why...

SPF: Ruger MK II model P4, (4" bull barrel 22/45) LNIB

I was finally able to pick up the gun from my FFL. It had been setting there for a few weeks, we here in NY have to jump through hoops to add a single handgun to our "by serial number" handgun permit. Very happy with the gun, it is exactly as described and looks brand new. Shoots very well too.

I will take it if you can ship it through an FFL on your end. A requirement of my dealer. Let me know.

    .480

I wonder why they got rid of the greatest front sight ever? I much prefer the older front sight.

    357/9mm blackhawk

I haven't been doing it that long but for many years my 9MMs have been shooting .357 jacketed bullet handloads very well. Haven't tried the .358 cast yet.

Was curious to learn how things went for you, hopefully well.

Mine as well, it was my first 41Mag and first Redhawk.

    Conversion revolvers

I only have a couple of 45ACP/45Colt Blackhawks and they both seem equally accurate with either cartridge with loads they like. I haven't wrung them out in the Ransom Rest yet but will someday. Due to the limited amount of ammo available for the Colt and huge amount available for the ACP if...

Accuracy in the .45 cal BH convertable

I shoot a similiar load in either Starline or Remington cases. 4.4grs of WST or 4.2grs of Bullseye has worked well in a couple of my Blackhawk convertibles. You can substitute 4.2 - 4.6 grains of Trailboss and it seems to work well too. For the 45Colt cylinder I've shot 250 - 255gr SWCs...

A question to Ruger 357 owners...

I tried the Winchester Factory 38 Super loads I had on hand. They would not seat in most of my GP-100s though they did seat in a newer 5" version and four of my older GPs (170 and 171 serial prefix). None of them dropped in and each round required some force to fully seat. The older guns...
