Two (fairly) rare Rugers at one time!!

Unfortunately, there’s not much in Burkesville as far as gun shops (we have a couple), the one I stopped in was in Elizabethtown, KY. I am super stoked to have a second one of these .32 Vaqueros. The serial numbers were about 75 or so apart in case anyone was wondering… 32Magfan

Two (fairly) rare Rugers at one time!!

I stopped in a shop I hadn’t been to in fifteen or so years Saturday morning and I found two Rugers I couldn’t resist buying. The first is a Buckeye 38-40 / 10mm Convertible with just a little holster wear on the muzzle. Otherwise, looks great. The second was in a Davidson’s Black Box. That...

Anyone know how many 32 Cal Combos were made?

The Buckeye 32 H&R / 32-20 convertibles were produced in the 80’s by the now defunct Buckeye distributor. They followed it up a couple of years later with a 38-40/10mm convertible Blackhawk. Another Super Blackhawk Convertible was made in 44Mag/44-40 but only about 900 were shipped as...

    LCR Recoil Management

I have an LCR in 327. I have shot 85gr Federal, 100gr. American Eagle and 115gr Speer Gold Dots in it. If recoil is your main concern, go with the 85gr. Loads. 115 was pretty snappy but I could stand a couple of cylinders full. 100’s were slightly less snappy but LOUD! Federal also makes 85...

    .41 Mag Vaquero?

Honestly, Ruger has produced so many versions of Blackhawks and RedHawks, I don’t get that they haven’t made any Vaqueros. I would have to find a way to buy one if they did. 32Magfan

Sore Trigger Finger from Shooting LCR 327 Mag

My LCR in 327 has not bothered my hand or fingers until I fired the 115gr. Gold Dot load. That gets snappy but at $1/ round I never shoot more than a box. 32Magfan

    A Hoarder's Story

My father passed in 2014 in early April. He was a pack rat at the least and bordered on hoarding certain things. That fall, the entire basement had to be emptied for the house foundation to be repaired. I took his safe, guns, powder and primers home with me in a 16 foot enclosed trailer...

    Ammo at Wal Mart

I usually cruise by the sporting goods counter at the various Wal-Marts in TN and Ky. All I have seen on the shelves is 28 gauge shotgun shells. 32Magfan

    Timely packaging from Hodgdon

For what it’s worth, I have seen the 3oz. bottles of powder for sale at Gamaliel Shooting Supply. I can’t recall the powder but it was something for shotgun/pistol. I paid it no mind so I can’t even tell you a price. But it is not an April Fool’s joke!! 32Magfan

    It's raining Rugers...brought home 2 SS .32 H&Rs

I really like those. I have a consecutive numbered pair of the short grip with the white grips. I have a bunch of other 32’s and 327’s. I never had the urge to ream out the cylinder on any of the H&R guns except for the Buckeye Blackhawk. I have too many but nowhere near all the different...

    Picked up a Buckeye 10mm/38-40

I don’t think you did all that bad. I got mine from a buddy who wanted a companion revolver for his Winchester “92 in 38-40. He had the throats reamed as they were tighter than .400. It shot better then but he tired of reloading the bottleneck cases and someone offered him two sweet S&W...

How about a Super Single Nine?

Ruger has shown it can think out of the box. The Wrangler is a big seller currently (actually the only Ruger revolver I see at many shops). The Single Ten is 22LR only and the Single Nine is 22Magnum rimfire only. Surely, they could sell a bunch of convertibles that shot both 22LR & 22Mag if...

9.5 inch 8 shot 22 Hornet Super Redhawk

It has nothing to do with “over-built” to me. 327 is not a sales star, no doubt but has a reasonable following with several SA and DA platforms selling in decent numbers. What I was saying is that if Ruger can make a SRH in 22 Hornet, surely they could justify numbers of making one in 327...

9.5 inch 8 shot 22 Hornet Super Redhawk

I know if they can do that... Ruger could make one in 327 Federal!!! 32Magfan
