I know this is a Ruger forum but you may want to check out the S&W EZ 9mm. I haven't shot one (they sell out quick according the the salesman) but I was able to check one out and it is very easy to rack.

I was getting FTF with my EC9S when I first bought it with reloads. After putting 500 rounds through it, cleaning after almost every use, it runs flawlessly. I attribute the FTF's to a break in period (its the best guess on my part).

Miniman just wanted to say thanks! I put several hundred rounds through my EC9S cleaning it religiously then tried some reloads that didn't work before and bamm...all cycled through. Big thanks!

I bought an EC9S 3 months ago and love it. My only complaint is it will not fire reloads, everything else no problem.

Sounds like a good deal to me for a P89 in great shape. I have a P85 that shots anything and might be indestructible.

OK am I the only cheapskate in the group? I took my trigger apart and buffed out the hammer and sear to smooth out and lower the pull. I figured if I ruined it (would not be the first time I messed something up trying to fix it) I would then buy a new one.
