My M77 Hawkeye "All-Weather" 308 groups around an inch at 100yds. However, with it sighted in @100yds the first shot hits 4" high at 1:00, then the rest are right in there. If I let the (now dirty)barrel cool for 15 minutes, first shot will hit at 1:00 again. Can I adjust a screw somewhere or...

Here's how it shoots out of the Winchester. Don't have a target for the Ruger but it wasn't far off from that. Unique did a little better, but both guns couldn't agree enough on the same load. Seems to me that 2400 is to pistol bullets like Varget is to my long guns. May not be the very best...

Thanks Hawkeye. I'm not loading this ammo for pleasure shooting, but more of an optimum "grab & run" ammo that'll supply both guns. Of course I'm not planning any long term gunfights with a six shooter. :) And of course I favored the Winchester more in power & accuracy for distance. But still...

Got my 308 last year. Didn't work with it, outside of scoping & working up a load. But now that I'm going to spend more time with it, I'd like to stop the bolt from hanging up when I try to push it in. Maybe work on a better trigger next. Apparentlyy the "search" is down so I couldn't look up...
