One we have had a number of years and a fine knife:

Finnish Sissipuukko Ranger knife. At some point we are likely to pick up one with the shorter 5" or so blade length.

A small sample of what I have made out of old files over the years. Blades have wax on them , files rust easy. The big one is 14" long to give you idea of size. I only ever made 4 of the big ones , just too hard to grind out on the grinder I used. A very large grinder. Not a regular knife grinding machine. Far as I know no one else has ever ground one like I did on a industrial grinder ? I did show a few how to do it , but they all gave up quick. LOL

Those are pretty good tbone. I made a few from files, but was never real happy with the results.
It took me several files to figure out a way to do it. LOL I was able to get used files from where I worked. Had all the maintenance guys save them for me. LOL Went through a lot in a steel mill. Started making them at work on the sly. LOL Then was able to find the big stone and build a grinder of my own. 2-1/2" by 18" stone.

That bottom one looks to be a near perfect skinning knife to me. They both are very nice

These are the two I mainly carry:

I have shown the Ken Onion CRKT before. The Spyderco Delica is one I used to keep at my desk at work just in case I forgot to pack a knife in and needed one, but working from home and not going in I carry it quite a bit. I love that it is small enough for pocket carry while being big enough to be a serious working knife and I do prefer lock blades in knives.
