Picked it up yesterday.
Thought I'd show it off.
I had to give the counter mat anti-rejection drugs.

Both very nice guns. I'm particularly partial to the lowback. The .38 was actually fairly common in the fixed sight Speed and Service Sixes because they were marketed to LE and many agencies at the time had restrictions due to the .357 being politically considered to be "excessive force". That was also the era when the 9mm auto was being adopted and by the time the .357 was more readily accepted in more jurisdictions, the autos had a very strong foothold on LE and the revolver's days as a duty weapon were waning.

Hi....any idea who made those grips?
I assuming LETT, just guessing as they made most of Ruger's grips back then. Actually found a spare set on eBay a few months ago. Not quit as nice as those pictured but that way I can save these.

Yes, Lett made the grips.

This is Bill Lett's personal subscription Security Six with non-checkered grips, kind of unique.

Those are beautiful grips and very unique without the checkering.

You know, I wish they would of put the same checkering on the Redhawk grips they put on the Six Series.
