Identifying a transfer bar conversion

I've been looking at three screw single sixes on line and was wondering if there is any way from the pictures to id a converted gun.

Other posts talk about the "R" but the gun needs to be disassembled to see it.

I see what appears to be a plunger of some sort just behind the triggers extending from the frame. Is this part of the conversion?

Any help would be appreciated even if you tell me I'd have to see the gun or how to ask a seller to id if the conversion was done.

I believe the plunger you're seeing is the trigger return and would be there whether it's converted or not.

The easiest way to tell from a picture online is to see if they offer a picture of the hammer cocked, at least partially. That way, you can see the "step" in the hammer for the transfer bar,, or even if the picture shows it,, the cut out in the hammer for the conversion parts. But the step in the hammer,, vs the flat face of an original hammer is the most obvious.

Another piece of trivia:

New model Bearcats with the transfer bar are identical to the converted old model Bearcats. In other words, all Ruger did to make New Models is to install conversion internal parts. The frame machining did not change.

Therefore if you have a New Model Bearcat and don't want the transfer bar, it can be converted back to an Old Model with a set of old model internal parts.
